Female born 07/26/68 in Hilo, Hawaii searching ethnic background and medical information. Was told that my real name was: Frederica Garces. My Adoptive Parents got me soon after Birth but by the time my adoption was finalized, I was almost a year old. Immunization Card actually stated City as "Mt View" but Hilo is the only Hospital in East Hawaii. Adoptive Parents told by Social Worker, "Mrs. Luis", that my Mother was on Oahu attending college and came from a "well to do" family. She had gotten pregnant but her Family didn't know and her Parents were coming to visit her that summer. She came to the Big Island to give birth to me & went back. I tried having an authorized person search my Adoption Records since they were "sealed" but he was not able to find me, not even Statewide. Said that they only way is to get my Adoption Case Number. The Attorneys that handled the Adoption retired and haven't been in practice for years. I don't know how to continue my Search. I dont' know if I have any siblings. I've been told that they think I'm Mexican, Cuban, Spanish & Indian but this hasn't been confirmed. Would be great to find my Birth Parents or any Siblings that I may have but if they don't want to find me, that's fine too. I just want to confirm my Ethnic Background & find out any Medical Info that I should know so I know what to expect for years to come. I met someone who looks just like me, acts like me, talks like me and thinks she maybe my Sister and told me that my last name might be: Mossman.
