My parents have a photograph of an old family homestead in Pennsylvania in which a sign on the outside of the large house says Abraham and Ann Bechtel, 1819. Can anyone help me trace that lineage down to my grandfather, Henry Ernest Bechtel, a former biochemist and then Iowan dairy farmer who was married to Edra Rubinkam and who passed away in the mid-1980s? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
