I am looking for information on the Davis family members who came down from Pennsylvania with the Welsh migration that settled between the NE Cape Fear River and the main Cape Fear River. Some information we have indicates that Aaron (abt. 1774) & Matthew Davis lived originally in North Carolina in the area where Lenoir, Jones & Duplin counties connect . . . Nine Mile Swamp & Cypress Creek. They got their start in Onslow County with a land grant (1807 & 1819)from the sovereign state of North Carolina.
