 Seeking information pertaining to the Essex County family of Thomas and Amanda Penn, 1800-1880s. 1840 to 1870 lived in West Bloomfield (now Montclair). Their children were (1)John Dipley Penn who married first Caroline Levi and second Elizabeth Groshong; (2) Mary Catherine Penn who married first Edward H. Brown (died in Civil War) and second, George W. Kiefer; (3) Joseph W. Penn who married Elizabeth Scott; (4)Robert M. Penn who married Christina Radin; (5) Sarah Penn who married Edward Van Riper and are listed in 1880 US Census for Caldwell, Essex County with her parents at that residence. The Van Riper family is included in the Families of Horse Neck, NJ, Genealogy Society website: Genealogy of HorseNeckNJ.org Am hoping to locate cemetery site for Thomas and Amanda Penn, and any additional genealogy.
