I am seeking the ancestry of Elizabeth Ann who married Wm R Bridges in about 1847. Ancestors of 7William R. Bridges 1828 - 1857, 6Allen Bridges 1791 - 1871, 5George Benjamin Bridges 1762 - 1834, 4George Bridges 1700 - 1776, 3Charles Bridges 1670 - 1747, 2John Bridges married to Eliz. T 1John Bridges married to Margt Beal Ancestors of 7Elizabeth Bridges 6James Bridges 1797 - 1844 5William Bridges 1760 - 1820 4George Bridges 1700 - 1776 3Charles Bridges 1670 - 1747 2John Bridges married to Eliz. T 1John Bridges married to Margt Beal As you can see Elizabeth Ann and Wm R Bridges (#7's) are the great-grand-children of #4 George. Elizabeth's father's name is James and 2 of her sisters were named Mary Jane and Matilda which are the names she used for 3 of her 6 children. Descendants of Elizabeth Ann and William R Bridges 1. Mary Elizabeth Matilda Rostron b: 25 Aug 1866 d: 12 Jan 1944 My problem is the in 3 census (1850, 60 and 70) she is from Illinois and her birth year is either 1826 or 1827 Of her father James' 10 children 5 were born in Kentucky between 1824 and 1833. The next 4 were born in IL between 1831 and 1843. The nost powerful evident that she is from this family are the names of her children. So, what do you think?
