I am looking for information on my dad's side of the family, the Davis's, and no one seems to know anything. My grandfather was Frank Davis, and he died in 1985 in Lowville, NY and grew up in Croghan, NY, as far as I know. I believe his mother's maiden name was Smythe or Smith, but I have no idea what his parents' first names were. He had at least two brothers, Robert and Charlie I believe, and some of his family lived in the Syracuse, NY area. No one in my family has any information on the heritage of the Davis' and I keep searching online for anyone who might have a connection.
