I am searching for my biological parents. I was born on 4 November 1960 at 23h10 and my name on the adoption order is given as Marjorie Anne Pagel. Past investigations revealed that my biological mother was a 21 year old divorcee. She already had 2 children and was pregnant with me by her ex-husband, by father. They were already divorced when she realised she was pregnant with me. My mother passed Standard 8 (Grade 10) and worked at a telephone exchange. She was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. During her pregnancy with me she was healthy, although stressed. She seems to have had kidney problems during her first pregnancy. My biological father passed matric and thereafter qualified as a mechanic and eventually became an electrician. He was a healthy man from a good background. I investigated my birth during 1994 but was told that my mother's details could not be traced in any government registry. During May 1961 I was adopted by Hendrik and Aletta Beyers who named me Elaine Truter Beyers. Aletta died before my 3rd birthday and after that I lived with Hendrik's parents who raised me. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
