I am researching my paternal grandmother, Lula (Taylor) McClure. I've gathered a lot of information concerning her but now I must have proof that this is valid information. If anybody reading this query can offer me suggestions where to look for this record, or if you have them and can copy to me, I'll be more than willing to pay you. I can be reached at: jlmac123@comcast.net. Arkansas Vital Statistics has birth records but they begin around 1914. Name: Lula Taylor, b. January 21, 1882, Crawford County, Arkansas, m. Taylor Gibson McClure--aka Taylor G. or T. G. McClure September 15, 1901 in Crawford County, Arkansas. Lula died December 29, 1954 and is buried at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas. Lula was an only child and the daughter of Samuel H. and Mary (Coxey) Taylor. Her parents were born in Tennessee. Her fahter fought in the Civil War and after the war he settled in Arkansas. Both Samuel and Mary died in Crawford County, Arkansas and also buried in Gill Cemetery. Also, looking for a marriage certificate for Lula and Taylor McClure. Thank you, Joyce McClure.
