Looking for the family of Ann Delany or Delaney, born in Ireland. She married a man named Reid and had a daughter, Anna Reid. After Mr. Reid died, she immigrated to Wigan, England, where she married James Appleton. They had three more children together -- Mary, Joseph and Jimmy Appleton. Mary married Patrick Edward Cawley. I believe Ann (Delaney, Reid, Appleton) immigrated to New York with Mary and Patrick Cawley, her three young grandchildren and her son Jimmy. I assume perhaps her son James had died by then. Joseph Appleton (Ann's son) stayed in England. He had two children (at least one daughter) and two grandchildren. One of his grandsons was named Frank Glover. The Cawley children were in touch Frank up until the youngest daughter's death in the early 1990s. She said he lived in Jerseyside England -- maybe the Isle of Jersey? I do have birthdates for all these people... just not in front of me at the moment... so please let me know if any of this story sounds familiar. I'd love to find our cousins in England and perhaps more distant cousins in Ireland? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
