I have been trying to find a Pink Hooper, who, as it was told, was my grandmother, Liza Hooper (married to Gordon Trusty)Trusty's, brother. I could not find him anywhere. I do have correspondence between the two dated in the 1920's and he signs his letter Pink Hooper. He was living in San Francisco, CA. On a fluke e-mail I received yesterday I received information that there may be a link to Lillie Ledford, who married Samuel J. Hooper (my grandmother's father). I believe Lillie would have been her step-mother. When I did a search on the name of Pink or Piinkney Hooper, I get nothing. So I did a search on Pinkney Ledford and came up with Pinkney Arden Ledford, born November 20, 1883 in NC. His parents were David Eli McDaniel Ledford and Ellen Elizaberh Underwood. He married E. R. Hogsed on May 14, 1911 in Hiawassee, Towns County, GA. My question to you is, if he were married to E. R. Hogsed, do you have any information that Pinkney Hooper may have been Lillie Hooper's step-son, who may have taken on the Hooper name? There were several name changes for Lillie, it appears. I am excited because this is the first link I have to Pink Hooper. Be glad to share the letters if this does connect to your family. Please reply. Thanks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
