Looking for information on the death and burial of Joseph Jackson Perkey or Purkey born 4 Apr 1842in Shelby, Illinois.Last address was Richard Purkey's farm in Center Twsp. Chautauqua Co,KS. Family thinks he is buried in Thayer. He purchased a plot there in 1900. His daughter Florence is buried there.His widow , Louisa Webb Purkey,sold his land in the county on Jan. 14, 1913. However, they listed themselves as divorced in an earlier US Census, each living w/ different adult children.
