I am looking for the ancestors of my GGgrandfather Lewis Lamont b. 1 Sep 1831 reportedly in New York d. abt. 1900 Hillsdale, Michigan and m. Elizabeth (Smith) Booth b. 1835 New York on 22 Sep 1861. Her first husband William Booth died in 1859. It appears his brothers may have been David Lamont b. 1818 and Hiram b. 1824 both of New York and Steven Archer or Archibald S. Lamont b. 1838 in either New York or Ashtubula, Ohio. It appears at this time that Lewis' father may have been Solomon Lamont probably b. abt. 1800.
