My mother, Maria Endena Ruiz, maiden name Valdez died in 2005 without ever knowing her father, Elizondro Valdez. I only know his name because it is on her birth certificate. It says he was born in Texas and he was 17 at the time of her birth, so I calculate he was born in 1945. Some of my family members say that he was indian but I'm not sure if he was Native or Mexican.
