Looking for ancestry of Jonathan Chaney (spelling has many variants: Chanay, Cheney are most common)who married Elizabeth Nickerson in Orrington, ME in 1812. He was a Methodist Episcopal preacher on the Penobscot circuit, she an Alden descendant. I'd love to know who his parents were and where he was born. They had 5 children.
