I am trying to help out a new friend who is looking for information on her family lines; I have a Lovina PHILLIPS, born abt 1859 in Wayne County,NY who married Charles DITTON of Wayne County,NY on 04 July 1874....There is a listing of 3 children born to this marriage on One World Tree.....Now I have been able to find out through Ancestry.com who were the parents of each of these two...Lovina PHILLIPS seems to be the daughter of James PHILLIPS born abt 1815 in NY and his wife Electa, born in NY abt 1821...James is the son of John PHILLIPS, born in England abt 1785, and his wife Sarah.... Now Charles DITTON born abt 1849, was the son of John DITTON Jr. and his wife, Mary A., born abt 1822 in NY....There are three geneations of Charles DITTON in this family line, which in itself can be very confusing...
