I am trying to find the family of Hester Ann Robinson (b. abt 1821 CT) who married James Brooks b. NY in Geauga Co. Ohio 8/02/1841. In 1850 they are listed in the Eaton, Lorraine Co. OH census, and in 1860, Hester Ann and her children are in the Claridon, Geauga Co. OH census, James not with them. Looking in the 1840 census for Robinson families who may be her parents, I find Alfred and Clarissa Robinson, b. CT. (He, like Hester Ann, sometimes gives his birthplace as MA.) Their son, John A., b. abt 1826, was born in CT. In Geauga Co. in 1840, the town where Hester Ann and James Brooks married, they lived near a Nelson Brooks family from NY.
