My great-great grandfather Jacob Jefferson (age 30) was found in the 1870 Virginia Census living with his wife, Elvira,age 19, his son Tutiowider(correct spelling?),age 9 mths, and Emanuel Jefferson, age 23, and his wife Adeline, age 22. They lived in Goochland, (Lickenhole District) Virginia. In the 1880 Goochland County Virginia Census Jacob, age 46, was the head of household, and his family included his wife Elvira, age 24 (?) sons Tutiowider, age 9, and Walter, age 8, and daugters Mary, age 6, Emma, age 4, and Hannah, age 2. I am hoping to find more information about Jacob Jefferson and Elvira. I know that Jacob was mulato, and I believe that Elvira was also. Emma Jefferson married John Ferguson December 27, 1889 in Goochland County, Virginia.
