I am searching for my birth family and relatives. Possible last name: Watson. Born in Okaloosa County, Fort Walton Beach, Floria, 11/14/1962. There were four or five other children in the family when I was born. Sharecropper father from one of the Great Lakes States. Grandfather may have had a gas station/convenience store in one of the Great Lakes States. Father went first to Florida to obtain a share cropping job (oranges, perhaps) and then later sent for my mother and other children. Mother was about 24 or 28 when she gave birth to me, brown hair, blue (or blue green) eyes), about 5'2" perhaps. Poor family, no shoes, space heater, visited by local social worker who took notes and provided me with only non-identifying information. Birth parents gave me up for adoption to a military father and stay-at-home (volunteer red cross) mother. I understand an attorney was involved but I do not know his name. Birth mother may have been a waitress in a restaurant. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
