Searching for an old Jackson County family--Matthias and Mary Ann Payne. Lived first in Owen according to 1850 Census, then moved to Brownstown according to 1870 Census. Two children I know of...William and Daniel. Need to know if they had others. Matthias b. abt 1798 and Mary Ann (don't know maiden name) abt 1803. Don't know dates of death for either, but Matthias remarried to Polly Miller in 1865, so presumably Mary Ann died 1860-1865. Polly was listed as a servant for Matthias in 1860 census.
