O. Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, Ireland, son of Francis Joseph GALLAGHER and Celia MC ATEER. He married Ellenora DEENEY in 1891 in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of John DEENEY and Catherine MC INTYRE, also from Donegal. He died May 31, 1938 in Norristown, Pa. His siblings were: Hugh, b.1855 Cassandra, b. 1856, married James MacPhail from Scotland Catherine, b. 1857 Humphrey, b. 1858, d. abt. 1945 Mary, b. 1861, d. 11 Apr. 1911 Hannah, b. 7 June 1865, d. 10 Feb. 1947 Celia, b. 11 July, 1867 John Edward, b. 10 Oct. 1868, d. 14 Apr. 1949, married Margaret Green Hugh, b. 15 Dec. 1872 Francis, b.9 Oct. 1869, d.
