J.D. Dorton in Wise County Virginia. I neeed help finding out the name of his parents. One of J.D. Dorton's children was my grandmother Nora Dorton Wilson. His wife was mamed Alice Stidham Dorton. But I can't find with certainty the parents of J.D. Dorton. Also, some in my family have said that J.D. Dorton went by the name "Heck". The Dorton family entered Wise County Virginia from neighboring Russell and Scott Counties. J.D Dorton lived in the Cracker's Neck area of Powell Valley in Wise County.
