I just found Adolphus A. Smith in the CA death index - d. 08/13/1944 (65 yrs.). I had a clue he may have gone to CA from OK. He may be the husband of Viola J. (Chilcote) Smith. They lived in the Lacey, Kingfisher, and Perkins, Oklahoma areas. I also found who I think is Adolphus and Viola's son, Maurice Emerson Smith in the CA death index in Los Angeles County d. 09/07/1951 (45 yrs.
