I have an old family Bible. It begins with William MCCOMB born May 20th, 1750 (Augusta Co., VA.) He married Rebeckah (listed as Rebeckah McComb) Nov. 28th, 1771. William died June 18th, 1846 (In Clark Co., IN). Rebeckah died Oct. 10th, 1798. The Bible lists 11 children for them: 1.) Andrew MCCOMB b. 9/25/1772 d. 7/29/1786 2.) Elizabeth MCCOMB b. 4/14/1774 3.) Jane MCCOMB b. 3/8/1776 d. 10/30/1786 4.) Mary MCCOMB b. 2/21/1778 5.) John MCCOMB b. 1/4/1780 d. 9/28/1782 6.) William MCCOMB b. 9/4/1784 d. 5/7/1838 7.) James MCCOMB b.1/4/1787 8.) Becky Young MCCOMB 7/10/1789 9.) Sarah MCCOMB b. 2/25/1792 10.) Young Andrew MCCOMB b. 12/20/1793 11.) Nancy MCCOMB b. 10/29/1796 The Bible then jumps to William Jr.'s marriages and children. William McComb served in the Revolutionary War from Augusta Co., VA.
