Query Text: |
I am searching for my mom, dad, siblings, anyone related to me. My biological parents are of American nationality, English descent and Protestant faith. Following is what I know to be accurate in 1961. My mother was in her mid-twenties, an attractive brunette of average height and substantial build, with brown eyes and fair complexion. She had been married and divorced, had three children and centered her life around homemaking, which she enjoyed. The three children, two of school age, were varied from blonde to sandy to dark hair, all with dark eyes; they were average in size and all in good health. My biological mother did not complete high school, but made average grades while she attended; she seldom worked outside the home. She was interested in outdoor activities and was particularly fond of pets. My biological father was in his thirties, was over 6' tall and weighed about 200 lbs. He had a heavy build, straight brown hair, brown eyes and dark complexion. He did not complete high school but had been successful in his own business. He had definte mechanical aptitudes and skills which he employed in his work. He had been married and divorced. In the respective families, the women averaged in height from just over 5' to 5'1/2". Coloration ranged from sandy to black hair, with blue or brown eyes. The health history on both sides was remarkably clear. As the prospect for marriage of these two people faded, my biological mother decided and held firm in her plan to surrender me for adoption. She expressed the desire that I have a settled home with two parents to love and care for me. This was a Sealed Adoption, which took place in the Fourth Circuit Court of Davidson County, Tennessee, thru the Family and Children's Service of Nashville, Adoption No. 1065. I was adopted by William Allen Thomas and Audrey Earline Thomas. I am now Sharon Anne Thomas but the Petition for Adoption states it was their desire that my name be changed to Sharon Anne Thomas. The caseworker was Hibbard Thatcher. I have a letter, dated December 13, 1960 from Mrs. Mary Anne Jackson, a Caseworker for the Family & Children's Service, telling my adoptive parents they had been approved to make application to adopt a second time; my adoptive parents had used this agency 3 years prior to adopt a boy who is now my older brother. Possibly a caseworker, neighbor, friend, may remember my adoptive father. He was a pilot for Capital Airways. Attached is a picture of me at 3 months old. I am a female, 45 yrs old, born on March 27, 1961. I weighed 6 lbs 15 oz, 19-1/2 inches. I am now 5'6", medium build, light brown curly hair and hazel eyes. I am searching for any and/or all my biological family. Any information would be greatly appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
