I need some info on my GGG Grandfather Peter Fleming.His tombstone says he was born in 1786.The censuses that list him 1850 Jefferson,Preble,OH.& 1860 (under the name Flemin)he is in Taylor Co.IA.He passed away in Dec.1868 either in Taylor Co.,IA.or Nodaway Co.,MO.He is buried in the Hopkins Cemetery in Hopkins,MO.He was married to a Temperance (Pettijohn)1814 NC-1890 MO.There was a 28 year age difference so did Peter have a family before Temperance?Peter & Temperance children were Samuel Lafayette 1837 Richmond IN,Sarah Octavine 1842 Eaton,OH,Henry C.1843 OH.,& Sanford Augustus 1845 New Paris,OH.Who were Peter's parents?When and where did he and Temperance get married.I am assuming OH.They must have been married at least by 1837 when Samuel was born even maybe had other children?Please I need help!!I can find nothing on these 2 or able to trace them.Why they ended up in Taylor Co.IA between 1850 and 1860?Any help would be much appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
