My Simpson family is made up of the following people: Gggrandfather - William SIMPSON Gggrandmother - Mary SIMPSON (maiden name n/a) children - Thomas (b. Delph near Manchester 1832) - Nancy (b. Tipton 1836) William (b. Stourbridge 1844) and Ggrandfather Henry (b. 1847 at Hail's Hill) this information is taken from the 1851 census - William must have died because Mary is listed as widow aged 42. The next census (1881) shows Ggrandfather Henry married to Rachel - her age at the time of the census was 32 and she was born in Tividale in Stafford. Their children are: Ruth (b. 1868 Hamstead, Worcester) Harry (b. 1870 Philadelphia, PA) William (b. 1873 Philadelphia, PA) Lavinia (b. 1877 Philadelphia PA) and my grandfather Thomas (b. 1880 in Dudley.) The 1901 census shows Henry (aged 55) and wife (aged 45) living at 30 Eva Road in the Civil Parish Of Birmingham, with William (aged 26) and Thomas aged 20 - this must be just prior to Thomas wedding, as he married Clara Beatrice RUTLAND in 1901 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
