I am a 44 yr. old female adoptee, born in Lyons, wayne county, NY state on april 20, 1962. I lived w. a gertrude m. Larsen- Plato, and a Lloyd g. Plato from approx. 1962- 1972. gertrude was supposedly married to Lloyd g. Plato, before 1973, do not have proof of this however. Lloyd was born in Lefargeville[ Jefferson county], NY in 1913, he died in cayuga county in auburn ,NY in 1992, gertrude was born in spade, [ knox county], Nebraska about 1920, moved to NY state approx. at 17 yrs' old, and lived in Throop[ port byron, cayuga county area ],NY for approx. 35 yrs. till her death on april 18, 1972. in 1973, I was adopted by Lloyd g. Plato, @ 19 yrs. old ,I learned I was adopted thru albany ,NY. my ammended b. cert. lists Lloyd g. plato as the father, but there is no mothers name listed [ blank], all info. on a mom , including school records for me, are sealed from me from my age of 10 down]. there is no medical info. listed for either parent., the adoption was private, and done in auburn,NY cayuga county in feb. of 1973. gertrude plato died of breast cancer, Lloyd plato died of heart trouble, and diabetes. I found out in my 20's I had 1 or 2 possible half sisters on Lloyds side, [ gert. had no other children],, one sisters name was Lucy mary plato- born to gladys n. prouty- plato and Lloyd g. plato she is a mrs. walter Johnson, living in syracuse, NY FROM AT LEAST 1964- 2006 we have never met, and she is approx 66 yrs. old, I learned of another half sister 3 wks. ago[ same parents as lucy], her name is monica anne plato, she married a kenneth e. Laney and has lived since at least 1964- current in albany county[ Latham, and watervliet area- listed as living in watervliet currently, near albany, NY. SHE IS APPROX. 68 YRS. OLD. Lloyd had said he was possibly married 3 times, if he was there may be other half siblings out there. on my birth, and the ages 10 down, and the adoption there is little known, [ nothing known on the pregnancy or birth, very little on my mom and dad, and my ages of 10- down, and nothing has been told to me on the adoption itself. and of siblings very little known also, only names and possible ages. I am trying to find answers on me, parents, and possible siblings, and get records[ birth/ medical opened in NY state. I deperately want to find these 2 siblings listed, and any others if there are any other siblings out there somewhere, I believe they would be older than me around their 60's- 70's, and living in NY state. I am unhappy and confused, and frustrated, and feel alone in this , please can someone help put this together w. me, so I can at last heal, mend and finally be happy inside , I need to know who I am , and feel complete as a person. please email back if you think you may know anything, and want to help me- thnks- desperate- laura e. plato of NY state.
