am searching for my g grandmother's mother. my g grandmother was amanda caroline evert thornton. born in muddy fork ar. either howard or hot spring county. her mother died in child birth. her father-- james henry evert-- immediately married mary greene. the spelling of the name "evert" is in question. neither amanda or her father could read or write. there is a possibility that amanda's mother was native american since no marriage record has been found for JHE and a first wife.
