STALLINGS, JOSEPH, NORTH CAROLINA (Edenton, Hertford, Albemarle Sound, Perquimmans Co. area): I am trying to find anyone who has information about a former Edenton, NC resident, Joseph Stallings, born somewhere around 1905 (died 1991 in Nash/Nashville, NC area). He supposedly came to this country alone from Italy, sent by his parents, and was adopted by the STallings family, so his original name was not Stallings. His son is Frances Derek and another son, nicknamed "Fuzz." Joseph was part of NC's rich moonshine history as he was rumored to be involved in the trade.
