Query Text: |
I heard that my father Hermanus Koomans had been a rather naughty boy in 1948 or so, perhaps Alice (Koomans) Fry may consider searching that avenue as well. My Mother had a visit one day from the father of a young woman who had been put up the duff so to speak, but Harry as dad was usually known in England, sort of vanished for a while. Old Harry died in Victoria, Australia in 2004. He was survived by his new spouse, Zelma, who also had a daughter, Sandra. Old Harry was a Belsen and Dachau inmate during the War when he was not escaping. He is reputed to have had a son in Germany named Arie Koomans, before I (Robert Clive K) came along in 1948. My mother's maiden name was Jessop, and were married at a civil union about 1945-6 in London. Harry was a sergeant in the REME of the British army after the war. My uncle Mick and Aunt June's surname was Kolosowski. Mick and June (nee Jessop) died in Melbourne, Victoria also. | |||||||||||||||||||||
