Lachlin MacDonald Searching for the family of Lachlin MacDonald. He is listed in both Mabou Pioneers and the ClanRanald site, marriage unknown, his son Angus (Aonghas) Mor MacDonald was my g-grandfather. Angus married Margaret MacIsaac (Janet "Jessie" <Lewis Loddy> MacDonald) . Margaret was the daughter of Roderick MacIsaac of Broad Cove, son of Pioneer Neil MacIsaac of Canna. Her mother, Janet was the daughter of Pioneer's Lodyvick MacDonald & Mary Grant who emigrated from Drimundarich Scotland to PEI on the "Jane" and subsequently to Cape Breton. The nickname "Loddy" comed from this family, and they are the same family as that of the former Ptremier of Nova Scotia, Angus L MacDonald. Margaret's daughter, also MArgaret, was born in Broad Cove, lived in Margaree Forks and married John Angus MacArthur of Pine Tree, Pictou. Ther daughter Helen was my mother. I've at least 3 branches of MacDonalds to hunt for, so far I've had great success with the Loddy's ...but the other 2 have me stumped! Anybody know the MacDonalds of Westville????? Campbell's Road????????? I've not even started that yet! Anybody out there? Heather Walters
