I am trying to discover when and how John MacDonald from Badenoch Scotland and Mary MacGregor MacDonald also from the Badenoch area came to Cape Breton Island and eventually lived and died on St. Joseph Rd., just off the Old Post Road in James River. Any info on the year they arrived on CBI and the year John died would be greatly appreciated. I know John is not listed in the 1891 census but I don't have access to an 1881 census.
