I am searching for information on the surname Baker, which is very hard simply because it is so common a name. At the moment I am researching my husband's family in West Tennessee. It could be Gibson Co., Madison Co., or other TN counties nearby. The person I am searching for is Elijah W. Baker and his wife's name was Elizabeth Jane Unknown. Elijah W.'s father was also Elijah Baker (1797-1869)and his wife was Frances Manley. They lived in Madison Co. I believe. There were 8 children: Mary Ann, Rebecca, J. J., E.
