I am searching for information on Isabelle Chubbic as I think she is my husband's great-great-grandmother. From the records we have she was born December 1838, in Pennsylvania. She married John McGlaughlin, approx. 1857. She had four children, Fred, b. 1859,in Wellburg,Brooke,WV, John Dunkle,b. April 30,1861,Lettie,b.Aug 1, 1863,d Dec.22, 1895,and May, b. May 1866,in Wheeling,W.V.(or in Pennsylvania). Her husband was supposed to have been killed in the Civil War and she moved back to Iowa when May was very young. In the 1880 Census it shows May living with T.G. and Anna DUNKLE in Douglas,Polk, Iowa. In the 1900 Census, Isabelle was living with her daughter,May and family(John Regester Craig).In Oct.1900, John R. Craig moved his family to Canada and Isabelle went to live in Montana near her sons, John Dunkle McGlaughlin and Fred McGlaughlin. If ANYONE has information confirming that Isabelle McGlaughlin and Isabelle Chubbic are one and the same person,it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
