I am looking for information on my ancestor Isaac Goldstein who emigrated to the US from Posen in 1856 . Isaac lived in New York from 1856 to about 1870 and then moved to Chicago. I think Isaac was related to the brothers Abraham and Jacob Goldstein who lived in Chicago around 1880 (they ran a liquor store and lived in the same building as Isaac and family on 4th Aveniue). Isaac's family changed the spelling to Goldstine after Isaac's death in 1883. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
