April 3, 2006 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY DARLING BIRTH SON. I'LL NEVER FORGET THE DAY YOU WERE BORN! It was a beautiful, yet extremely difficult day for me. If I get the chance to meet you, I'll tell you as much about it as you want to know. From, the woman who gave birth to you, & never wanted to let you go. I am praying for you. I hope to meet you one day, if not on earth, then at least, in our Heavenly home. You were born in Seattle Washington on April 3, 1969, early in the morning, around 6:30, I think, at Group Health Hospital. My name was Deborah Lynn Tate & I'm pretty sure I know who your father was, but if I locate you, we'll discuss it in private. You had blond hair & blue eyes, & I never got the chance to see you, but my mother, Helen Tate, nee Tobey, told me, just before she died, what you looked like. My Father's name is Billy Donald Tate. Your adoption was arranged through Burden Bearers Counselling. Hegge Iverson, the Founder of Burder Bearers, was my own personal counsellor. He was a wonderful man, & helped me very much. I didn't want to give you up for adoption, at all, but I was told it would be better for you if I did. I felt like I had no choice. I always felt like I had no choice. In my life, growing up, I was taught to "do as you're told". "Children, obey your parents!" I was very angry, after giving you up, for a very long time. And, very, very sad. I think I went into shock. BUT, I found the Lord Jesus Christ, & He comforted me, & gave me peace & strength, & He loved me through this very difficult time. And, then, I prayed for you, my precious birth son & your adopted family. And I've been praying for you & them, all these years. I did it because it was best for you, so you could be raised by two loving adults, not one immature child, who wouldn't have a clue how to look after a baby. And, Hegge Iverson, from Burden Bearers told me that he couldn't tell me who adopted you, but he could tell me that you were with a very special family, & I would be very happy if I knew who they were. I hope he doesn't tell everybody that. I'm just trusting in God that you are in God's hands, no matter which family you were place with, because, I've been praying for you ever since you were born on April 3, 1969, when I gave birth to you, my precious baby boy. (Oh yes, when I signed the papers, to give you up for adoption, it said "boy Tate" on them. I'll always remember that, because, at that time, I was told I wasn't even allowed to know whether or not you were a boy or a girl. I was so excited to know even that much. I (his mother) am 5'2", with dark blond hair & blue eyes & I'm not positive about your birth father. The one I THINK it is, was around 5'6", with blond curly hair, blue eyes (if I remember correctly, very good looking & played the guitar & sang beautifully. I also was very pretty, with a heart shaped face. I'm still very pretty, at almost 54 years old. I'm told I look much younger. I have another son, who is 31 who also looks much younger than his age. Maybe that runs in the family. Oh, yes, I play the piano & guitar, & I also sing beautifully. Musical talent runs in my family, as does art & all of the creative abilities. We also have some very small amount of native american in us (my maternal grandmother was 1/2 native american, from Oklahoma). As soon as I'm able, I'll post a picture. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
