Searching for information on a Calvin Williams from Duplin County born 1820 according to the 1840 Duplin County Census. This year In Calvin households are a female age 30 to 40, one male age 10 to 15, one male 15 to 20, and one male 20 to 30. Calvin in the 1850 Census is listed as a farmer, age 30, with Percy, female age 27, and another male, Joshua J Henson, and age 11. I believe this Calvin is the son of Betsy (Elizabeth) Williams. In the 1850 Calvin is next to Betsy Williams and her two sons, James Curtis, age 30, and Edward Hansley, age 22. {This I know are Mother and sons} In the 1840 census for Calvin, the individuals fit for Betsy, James Curtis, Edward Hansley Williams, plus an unknown male. Eliza Williams is listed in the 1830 census Duplin County with 1 male under 5 (Edward Hansley), 3 males between 5 & 10 (One of these is possibility James Curtis and another Calvin, third unknown), and Eliza (Betsy) as 30-40, (born 1790-1800). 1820 Census Duplin County list Betsey Williams as head of a household with 1 male (possibly Calvin or Curtis) under 10 years old and 1 female (Betsey) between age of 26 - 45 years old, (born 1775-1794). In 1860 and afterwards there are several Calvin but the age and wife (Percy) does not match. I am descendent from Edward Hansley William. This family is closely related by marriage to Winkfield, Winfield, Hinson, Elmore, Grant. Any help will be greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
