Searching for information concerning the suicide death of John Beu on 9 Nov 1876 in Thayer Neosho Co KS. John was b. in 1817 in Germany; wife Elizabeth b. 1820 Germany and children: Carl, John, Fredereka, Minnie, Christian, Sophia & William. The whole family immigrated between the years of 1868 to 1870 roughly. After their father's death most moved down to Elk Co KS. 4 of the Beu's married the German sibblings Scheel/Sheel. The Thayer Head Light of Nov 10, 1876 reported the suicide and called him John Ben. In the census they are often named Ben, Bue or Bew instead of Beu. Hoping for help. Thanks, Doris
