I am in search of my biological mother. I was born on July 25, 1962 at Providence Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. At birth I was named "Monica Denise LaCour". I weighed approximately 6lbs 9oz at birth. My mother was approximately 17 years of age at the time of my birth. According to the adoption records, my biological mother had a baby girl the year prior to my birth in which my mother kept. My mother was approximately 5' tall and had a younger brother at the time. Her mother was a housewife, and her father worked (possibly on the docks). According to the transcripts, they couldn't afford to keep me at the time of my birth, therefore, I was given up for adoption. My adoption was finalized some time in 1963. The adoption transcripts stated my mother wasn't sure if the biological father was aware of the pregnancy or not. It further stated that it wasn't clear if my sister and I shared the same father. According to my transcripts, my mother and sister were light-skined; possibly with hazel eyes. My biological father was listed as "negro" - but in parenthesis it stated: (extremely dark-skined). My father was approximately 17 at the time, and was about 5'10" in height. He had other siblings - both male and female. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
