My name is Larry LaVallee. I am looking for information about my grandmother who died with her four of her fivechildren on the SS Montmagny in 1928 as a result of a ship accident. My father, Marie Joseph Emile LaVallee, was not with my grandmother on that boat and of course was the only living child of Marie LaVallee (Fagot). My grandfater, Joseph (Jos Paton) LaVallee, was also not on the ship. My grandmother's name, before marriage. was Marie Fagot. I know very little about her, except that she was so very kind. My father would not talk about the tragedy as it was just too much for him to talk about. I need to know the names of my aunts and uncles - the oldest was 9 years and the yongest was 8 months. Please help with leads or any other ijnformation you can give me. Marie LaVallee (Fagot) came from Levi, Quebec. My great grandfather was a lighthouse keeper on Greenly Island, North Shore, Quebec.
